The woman rolled toward her, walking backward for a bit, with her arms crossed. .
“That depends. Do you want my name for your chronicler notes or as something you'd prefer not to forget?”
Vi rolled her eyes, giggly. “I'd use it to thank you for this walk, that's all.”
“Caitlyn.” a spark of laughter twinkled in her eyes.
The name hung in the air, as if it carried a weight Vi couldn't explain. She repeated it to herself, savoring it.
“Caitlyn…” and then, tilting her head slightly without breaking eye contact “You can call me Vi.”
“Much better than calling you the outsider” Caitlyn joked.
“Or the coincidence” Vi added, with an amused twinkle in her eyes.

She is a hunter, daughter of vengeance.
She is a pure vampire, born of the night who longs to be mortal.
An impossible pact, one of convenience, one that may be the end.

“Don’t fucking move,” a harsh voice said through gritted teeth.
Cait turned her head, finding herself staring into the point of an arrow. Shit, she thought to herself. Instantly going into fight or flight mode, she stood up, taking a step back.
“I said don’t fucking move!” the voice shouted down the crossbow.
A woman stood behind the crossbow, shorter than her, but still tall. She had pink hair, though unable to tell the shade, shaved down on one side, long on the other. Muscles defined in her tight trousers and shirt, but arms hidden by a crimson jacket. Unfortunately, she couldn’t quite work out many more details in the moonlight, nor in her panic. She thrusted the crossbow in her face again.
“What’s your name?” she asked, head tilted to the side slightly as she looked down the length of the crossbow.
Fear took over her. That’s when Caitlyn Kiramman remembered she was a vampire. And didn’t owe this woman anything.

Vampire AU - Vamp!Caitlyn VampHunter!Vi
After an attack that put an even deeper divide between Zaun and Piltover, Vampires were forced into exile. Many lived happily in Zaun, but there was always the unfortunate possibility of turning feral. And now there was a streetdrug that increased that chance, even expediting the affliction. Vander and his kids kept the streets safe, Vi being the leader of their group with Vander's retirement to run The Last Drop. But these new ferals are proving to be too much to handle.
Word of the drug is starting to spread and, if it reaches Piltover's ear, then even more discourse and violence will ensue. But Caitlyn Kiramman, one of the last remaining vampires that lived Topside, swore to stop the violence between vampires and humans. She decides the pick up the trail, which leads her to an even better find.
Vi.
Investigations, interrogations, fighting urges, and giving in to temptation breaks Caitlyn's usual cycle of watching from afar.

A few citizens have been reported to have uncontrollable bloodlust, and it's heavily suspected that Commander Kiramman has also been afflicted. But, given her status, the powers that be are keeping it quiet. Feeding her in secret, trotting her out for appearances, and using her image as one of strength for the next phase of The City of Progress.
