Vi helps her back to the Upper City, and although she makes it clear that she doesn't think much of the Pilties, as she calls Caitlyn and all surface-level people, young Caitlyn does everything she can to see her again.
Eventually, a tender bond of friendship forms between them, and Vi shows the naive Caitlyn that the Undercity is very different from what she was taught on the Surface from an early age.
But when a tragedy occurs that separates them, Caitlyn decides to join the Enforcers and change things for the better in the Undercity.

But in the midst of late deliveries, and even unknown to Caitlyn herself, the tips keep increasing as a way to only have Vi as her delivery driver, as a mutual crush develops between the two women...
