Midas doesn't return to the artists of their old tattoos often, the idea of explaining far too much of a headache. (and too much of a pit in their stomach at the reaction they always get. If they were honest)
The idea of explaining to the people that their work was gone- changed, and Midas, despite it being on them, had little to no control in that aspect.
Had no ability to keep it the same- to stop it from changing.
Or! A Tattoo Artist AU where after years of Midas getting used to and expectant of their tattoos to change inexplicably, they find Malitae is the only one whose Tattoos stay the same, a loyal patronage and bond growing as a result

Summary
Before the Aether fell, before the gods were at war with each other, before the world was so confusing, there were stars. The people of the End believed that by searching the stars, connecting them through similarities and stories, they could finding meaning in them, not only for the past, but for the present and future as well. Here is a small collection of such stories, gathered by an End researcher named Zennia Wordsmith, who hoped that by learning about the past, they could learn to change the future as well.

“Fable is the first lead that I have to figuring out what’s causing the resets- no one else has helped me find anything else out but if I bring Fable here then I can actually maybe prevent the resets from happening.” He tried to keep calm so that he wouldn’t say anything he would later regret, he didn’t know what would happen when the Aether portal was linked to Purgatory and the realm had already fallen. “I’ve lost my home because of what you did with the portal! My mother may be dead and I have no way of finding out if she is!” Rae knew that Arisanna was right in being angry about what he had done but nobody including Fable knew that was going to happen.

Wolf learned piano at an early age. To him it was a duty, an expectation, it brought honor to his family. But eventually, that honor proved to be shallow, and he grew discontent at just playing the notes. So, his partners taught him how to let go of what his family taught him and learn to play music for no one but himself.
