“Here to arrest me?” Great. 4 months, 22 days, 3 hours and 20 minutes of overthinking for that. What a waste.
Vi and Caitlyn have split up in the aftermath of Jinx's dinnerparty. 4 Months later Caitlyn finds Vi in a shady undercity bar. What are they up to? Why did they split up? What about Jinx?
Questions that must be answered all while a threat, greater than Silco and his Idea of Zaun could ever be, looms over Piltover. -

What makes it even worse is that Caitlyn is supposed to ask Vi to be her partner, in order to show everyone that no matter where someone is from they can all work together.
Awkwardness, mutual pining, a bit of rivalry, jokes, taunts, and smut ensue, with crime fighting and political schemes that leave them very little time to deal with their feelings towards each others, making it all the more difficult to work together. -

There ares also some original characters, mostly zaunites, people from Vi and Ekko past and some new. Chapter 8 features the introduction of a LoL character: Camille, Arcane version of her that has some differences from the LoL one.

“Hey, Ekko!” Vi made an assumption as she called across the tree to her old friend, who was working on welding pieces of metal together. He had a large dark mask covering his face for protection. Powder and Ekko had always been good at building things, something Vi never could manage. She waited for him to look up before continuing. “I know you just met her, but you should give Caitlyn back her gun.”
In her peripheral vision, Vi could see Caitlyn visibly wince. Ekko shook his head, not bothering to lift his mask. “She didn’t have one.” He went back to welding without waiting for a reply.
No wonder she hadn’t shot it recently.

Vi wasn’t even sure when she began to fall. She sank slowly, with shared banter and growing ease, too slow to even notice. With each defied expectation, she sank deeper.

Ekko knows what’s up. It doesn’t take a genius to see it. He wasn’t so sure about the topsider before, but he’s seen enough now. He’s known Vi his whole life, so it was easy enough to notice the shift. Caitlyn Kiramman is a new – and quite unsolicited if you ask him – addition to the group, and at first he didn’t trust her, but now he knows there’s nothing to worry about.
She’s way too busy trying to pretend like she’s not into Vi to present any threat to the Firelights. And Vi is just the same.
Which is why he has to take actions.

She is full of adrenaline, and not as scared as she’d have imagined herself to be in that kind of situation. There’s something quite freeing to run like this through the Lanes, even if it is to save one’s own life, but if she had to guess she’d say she would not feel that way if Vi wasn’t with her.
Somehow everything is better when Vi is by her side.
