Summary

Wysandria Surana was supposed to be made tranquil, but a split-second stop on the way down from Highever may simply change everything, for all of Ferelden. Fionnuala Cousland takes a little of Duncan's patience for her own and allows the stop on her way to her brother, gains an ally, and then loses her just as quickly. Whether two small decisions change anything or everything or nothing at all they can't quite know.

It's a bizarre sensation, to be drenched in sweat but covered in dry, warm clothes, each buckle and tie conscientiously snug, and for some reason, this makes his throat tighten. They all approach the altar. There's an eternal flame in Andraste's hand that throws strange shadows over Her face, lending the illusion of watchfulness to what he really fucking hopes is just more stone. Her face is kind.

They're all Wardens now.A month into their duties at the Keep they are stuck laying over for a few days while waiting for the soldiers sent to the outer farmlands and holdings to report back with status updates.
A few days with nothing to do? Oh, dear. Oh me, oh my.
There may be a little tension between Nathaniel and Aedan... what with their entire lifetime of knowing each other. And though Nathaniel may be ten years older, Aedan began developing feelings for him once he neared adulthood. And now, well, he's about twenty and has saved the world.
