Summary
Steve Harrington collected objects as a way to anchor his memories. When living a life in constant rotation, when he is omitted from every photo artfully placed in his mother's cookie cutter house, when the collection of magnets from airports on an always empty fridge was the only sign his parents had stopped by, material traces of a person's presence became very important. The night before moving into his new apartment, he reflects on his shoebox of recollections.
He doesn't consider throwing them out, not even for a moment.
