As soon as their hand makes contact, Ponk jumps back, screaming and holding his arm. A gray aura surrounds his forearm where Eret had grabbed him. Ant jumps back from Eret as well, tearing his hands off of the king as if he’d been burned.

It was Dream’s voice he heard as his last breaths rattled in his rotten, blackened lungs, thorns pressing into his arms. He was alone. He was scared. He let out a broken sob, blood trickling down his chin, tears pouring from his ruined eyes.
The last feeble lantern light wasted away into ash, and with it snuffed out TommyInnit’s soul.
