Summary
Delloso de la Rue sacrifices the title of True in protection of the magic that flows to the mortal realm. K.P. Hob wallows and writhes in the doubt and distrust that follows for but a few moments, but it's enough to change the story irrevocably. It's enough to make the road to a happy ending winding and all too easy to lose track of, like all roads into Faerie must be. The new arrangement of the stars makes new constellations, and they all must learn to navigate by a new map.
(Or, I make Rue/Hob/Wuvvy/Sy the delicious mess it deserves to be.)

Summary
The recently promoted Goblin Major K.P. Hob has been ordered to marry a beautiful and demure Lady Sylmenar of the Seelie Court.
Becoming a husband was never something he anticipated, but he’s nothing if not willing to rise to the occasion when his Court needs him.
Complications arise when he finds himself practicing his vows alone in the woods and, inadvertently binds himself to a feyspirit named Delloso de la Rue.
Hob knows he needs to return to the feyrealm proper and marry Lady Sylmenar, for the good of his Court. However, his heart has other ideas.

But Hob had three things most goblins did not: self-control, patience, and a very interesting novel in hand. The copy of Aengus Albenan’s Tale of Sorrow and Familiarity lay worn in his hand, the spine of the book creased and bent, as though re-read countless times. The ribbon tucked into the back of the book was a deep purple in color and was worn, as though used endlessly as a pagemarker.

“Major Hob has never been a heavy sleeper. After the ball, Hob is so exhausted, he has no problem falling right to sleep. He danced all evening with the glorious Delloso de la Rue, and his heart raced all night. Succinctly, Hob slept like a rock for the first time in his life.
“To have a letter slipped onto his person whilst he slept is a frightening feat, the kind of frightening that freezes Hob’s veins. The contents of said letter leave him feeling worse than before.”
