The setting sun never demanded as much attention as the blazing sun during the afternoon, mostly fated to be unnoticed and yet if you asked Tsukasa they both held the same kind of beauty that one could never turn their eyes away from.
However at the end of the day, wasn't it the afternoon sun that burned brighter and brought more light towards others?
Was there even a need for the evening sun to exist when the afternoon sun was as twice as efficient? Tsukasa didn't know and strangely enough he didn't want to find out either.

Grian hardly recognises himself, these days.
As he stares blankly into the full length mirror, the reflection looking back is… unfamiliar. He is frail and dull, with sickly pale skin and exhausted bags beneath his eyes. New scars decorate his skin – a dozen tiny nicks that paint his features with silvery thread, and a couple of larger, redder marks that have not yet begun to fade. He is thin too, far thinner than is healthy.
Still, the thing that draws Grian’s eyes most of all is the slowly blackening outline of a hand around his throat.

Most of the time, being a Guide instead of a Sentinel was a blessing. No headaches caused by sharpened senses, no threat of a deadly zone out and if one just happened to meet their destined one, rare as they were- well, that's an added bonus.
But as much as Piltover was the City of Progress, a Guide just bold enough to openly try to give people magic just… wouldn't fly.
Which is why Jayce never says anything, not even to Viktor, a young, ambitious Sentinel just as insane as himself, who caught his eye and then casually stole his heart with no apparent effort. They do get on like a house on fire, designation be damned, and Jayce would absolutely love it if Viktor agreed to their match but the problem is, he'd have to admit to being a Guide after years and years of keeping quiet and he just… he can't.
And hey, maybe he isn't the only one who's not honest in this equation but in the grand scheme of things, it isn't a very comforting thought.
