Summary
After covid the world settled down, but Duke Arthur Pendragon couldn't help but think another one would come and maybe worse. He couldn't explain it but it was eating at him. So he made sure his home was as ready to cope as it could be. Be he was pragmatic enough to make sure if nothing happened things wouldn't be wasted.
When the announcement was made he was ready and called on an old friend to help him. Whilst he couldn't help everyone he would make sure the estate workers and his family where safe.
This story follows the breakdown in society and what he does to help people. He meets resistance, greed and heartbreak along the way. With only a small population remaining they try to rebuild their lives and keep themselves safe from the roaming gangs of thieves.
