King Arthur returned without Merlin and sent search parties to find him. When they came back empty-handed, they chose George to step in and take care of Merlin’s duties as the King’s servants. George was honoured, of course, and would use the chance to show the king how competent he was.
Merlin was found and came home with a strange behaviour. Gwen tried not to take it to heart; the poor man had been through too much. But, as she found out Merlin tried to poison Arthur, she knew something was wrong. Because everyone except Arthur knew how much Merlin loved him.

Summary
Merlin is captured by Morgana after the events of Camlann. The battle was won by Arthur and his knights reigning a victory for Camelot. Lancelot isn't dead. (This fic is disgusting, horrid, the most frightening thing you've consumed this year. It's morally questionable. That's kind of the point. First few chapters is TORTURE PORN. Think Terrifier 3 but a love story lol.)

- After Merlin's magic got revealed, Arthur convinced his father to spare Merlin's life, not knowing that his father found a different, less effective, way to kill the young warlock
- Merlin knew that Uther would at least exile him after his magic was revealed, his hopes of the knights leaving with him were crushed as Lancelot didn't even look into his eyes and Gwaine tried to attack him...
- Mordred and Morgana had both heard of Merlin's exile and both decided that it would be pretty nice to have a trio instead of their duet
- Arthur, Lancelot, and Elyan only pretended to be mad at Merlin, but only wished to run after Merlin, run away with him, but when they arrived to where Elyan and Leon had left the warlock they couldn't find him... they don't intend to return without the warlock.
- Leon, Percival, and Gwaine were having a terrible week, first Merlin got convicted of treason and now Arthur, Lancelot, and Elyan went missing. Leon went harder on the 2 remaining knights in training, Gwaine returned to the tavern and kept returning drunk, and Percival is just trying to keep his family together
