After a recent re-watch of the entire SG franchise, I felt physically compelled to write a semi-canon-compliant, rather filthy, post-Threads/post-Möebius Sam/Jack. There are many like it; this one is mine.
In which Sam tells Jack she’s broken up with Pete, they make cabin plans, they wait until Sam is no longer in Jack’s chain of command, then they bang like bunnies. And they do go fishing.

Post-canon, mid-pandemic, Jack and Sam’s household doubles in size and then some, and everyone has their own ways of dealing with the stress.
Title is from the finale of Leonard Bernstein’s operetta “Candide.” Do yourself a favor and listen to the medley of Make Our Garden Grow and One Hand, One Heart, performed by Sam Harris and Laurie Beechman.

Sam worries that a recent flurry of strange symptoms may be the onset of menopause; she worries even more that they could mean something much worse.
Jack’s no doctor, but he’s seen this before. He’s 99.99% sure it’s not menopause, and he hopes like hell Sam doesn’t think his diagnosis is something worse.

When Sam and Jack return to Colorado Springs, Cassie promises an epic playlist for their housewarming party. She delivers.
It’s a great party.
(Rating is M for one big adult situation and some extremely suggestive language, but no actual sexytimes. Playlist will be posted at the end).
