Twelve-year-old Dazai gains the memories and experiences of his older self. Three years later, he’s an informant in the business of trying to stop the end of the world, but is repeatedly distracted by Chuuya’s own agenda to force Dazai into ‘self-care’ and ‘living’.

What he doesn't expect is the crimson-haired, sharp-tongued siren who tries to drown him, and fails, thanks to Dazai’s suicidal impulse to flirt with death itself. Literally.
Now stranded on a deserted island with the very creature meant to kill him, Dazai finds himself tangled in something far more dangerous than the ocean: banter, claws, secrets, and an infuriating tail. Chuuya doesn’t know why he saved the pirate. Dazai doesn’t know why he can’t stop smiling.
One wants answers. The other wants entertainment. Neither of them plans on falling in love.

Dazai hadn't much hope or ideas for keeping this child at first, that one being Nakahara Chuuya's child. Any child would be better off without having him as a parent for sure. But hearing Oda's desperate pleas that he had a biological son - and a past connecting him to this Earth for longer - He was shocked.
All the while, little hurt that the man he loved like a brother didn't tell him about these things before. But now seeing Oda's son, and more about his life behind the curtains, he knows that Oda is unequivocally kind to a fault. A saint even. There was no way that he was going to let anyone harm his godson.
So far, Osamu thinks that he's doing a pretty bad job at this 'parenting' thing. But it's been said it takes a village. So maybe it'll take a little longer to get his own feet on the ground once and for all. He finally has something to truly live for and love himself for; family doesn't turn itself on family. Even if Ranpo Edogawa continues to intrigue him.
He can't touch, only look. Or alternatively, Sokoku, Ranpo and Oda have kids and make it everyone's problem. Yet we still love them anyway. Oh and Oda and Ranpo have a kid too, and they're kinda managing but its getting somewhat better.

Leaving the mafia had been Osamu Dazai’s number one priority—after his best friend died telling to do so, and of course, he defects only a few days after that. Dazai’s almost proud of himself, until he gets trapped in a cruel twist of fate: taking care of a baby and being on the run from the mafia. That kind of life gets easy with a year or two—but when it’s time to come out of hiding and advance to the frontlines, he has reached the point of utter ruin. It can’t get any worse than this, right?
That was, until Chuuya Nakahara, his former partner, and the father of his child found out, creating a new array of unresolved problems and oh so much tension between them.
