very stupid.As simple as that definition is, it seemed to apply to Peter a little too accurately when it came to hiding his identity. But! It wasn't his fault he was bad at lying - he was simply a good person (and Ned was just as bad). Or that he would unintentionally use his powers in public - you try being a mutant for a day!
Throwing himself out of a window in front of his entire class, however... was a little harder to excuse.
Alternatively,
Five times Peter wasn't too great at hiding his identity and the one time he really fucked up.

Okay, so Peter may not know what’s in the packages he’s delivering, and no one around him might be saying it’s good news. But that’s fine – because Peter’s only working there until he turns sixteen.
There shouldn’t have been a problem. Really.
That is, until Peter falls into a sudden bout of personal debt, and is forced to deal with unforeseen consequences of a closer working relationship with Fishery Queen. In a turn of events, Peter finds himself increasingly torn between the different threads of his life: as a student, as Spiderman, and as a struggling employee. Add that to a tangled web of lies, an absentee Happy, and some nifty personal tragedy, that’s when things really start to get complicated...

Peter unglued himself from the pillow.
"Uh, no - I - last weekend, we spent most of the time, like, blowing up your armor?"
"For science."
"It's… three pm," he pointed out, checking the hour on his phone. "All I've done today was eat, do my homework, eat, watch vines, eat, talk to Ned…"
"Eat and whine to me. Yeah, I think I get the pattern. You hungry yet?"
The teenager threw himself back face-first into the couch with a dramatic sigh.
Soft mechanical crackling and low energetic hums filled the silence that fell.
"Actually I am. I'm gonna get a snack."
