It was frightening how much earthlings could know. He used to wonder if there was actual contact between earth and lexicon simply from how similar they could be. But he could never fathom how they found out about the flower disease. Hanahaki by earth's name, named in Japan for the flowers that people would cough out and eventually fill the victims lungs when they were struck with an unrequited love. The only cure was a surgery on lexicon where they would surgically remove the flowers, and any other emotions that came with the person in question with them. However, if someone on earth with lexiconian blood were to catch it, they would be doomed, and that’s exactly how Huggy felt when he saw the first yellow petal fall from Beckys mouth.

It was only later on, when he was laying in bed and between two hard, sweaty bodies, did he finally see the connections. Rooster and Hangman would call him oblivious but it wasn't his fault. He couldn't really see the signs.
Though it should have been quite obvious to someone as observant as him. But again, it wasn't his fault.
It wasn't his fault that he was so boring, so dull that he was always on his own, always ignored, always feeling unwanted. It was just the way the Universe was, and he understood that. It wasn't something he could change.
At least, that's what he thought. Then, the two idiots got together and set their sights on him. He couldn't possibly understand how they could possibly want him, but they did.
Boy, did they want him.
