Now Jay has to pull out some shenanigans out his ass while still dealing with the whole "I saw my friends die in front of me after getting tortured and had to crash the wedding of my crush after she sacrificed herself for me only to get sent to another universe"

Ren's used to odd situations. Maybe it was a bit too normal for him, but he didn't mind. It often led to him meeting some interesting people. That had been how he met Dareth, who was one hell of a character, leading to even more interesting people. For example, the ninjas. The first one he met happened to be quite sweet, which may have caused some assumptions to take root. Who knew how well that would work out for him? At least he found some comfort within the odd kind of family the ninjas had.

The Ninja finally put an end in the Serpentine situation, but that doesn't mean their troubles came to an end. Without Wu and having to train Lloyd all alone, they still have to deal with the remaining Serpentine, Lord Garmadon in possession of the Golden Weapons, a group of thugs with some fixation on sea creatures, evil versions of themselves, pirates... What else can appear?
And even with all that, maybe the real challenge is the reality of being a normal teenager living a normal life. With new friends and new foes, the Ninja still have a lot to learn about life and themselves.
