Summary
There are two Stanleys before Narrator. One real, the other a shapeshifter impersonating him, and he has to pick which one to shoot. How cliche. It's an easy move to shoot, too, with nothing to lose even if he hits the wrong one.
His finger freezes on the trigger anyway, looking into the terrified eyes of something that looks just like his partner in crime. This should be easy, but that knowledge doesn't make it any easier.
With a bonus chapter: What if Stanley did something about it before Narrator did?

This fic is best read after reading "This Belongs In A Museum!" by Rexila, linked in the beginning notes! It contains spoilers, and more importantly, draws heavily from it in such a way that it's likely not understandable or enjoyable as a standalone.
