Summary
The year is 1988. Clark Kent is a 14 year old boy living in Smallville, Kansas. He's a quiet, kind-hearted dork who loves comic books and is keeping one of the greatest secrets in human history, namely that he is secretly an alien from outer space. As far as the rest of the world is aware, UFOs and ghosts and all of that "weekly world news" stuff is just as fictional as the superheroes in Clark's comics, and so he keeps his secret, always wondering where he came from and always wondering what he could accomplish if he had the courage to stop hiding and start using his alien abilities to help people, like the heroes in the stories he reads.
One night, Clark is attacked by time traveling villains who seek to wipe him out before he can become a threat to them, and is rescued by J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, who received a message from his future self warning of the temporal incursion. Clark must then go on the run, evading the cabal of supervillains who are trying to kill him, and find and recruit other strange kids with strange abilities and backgrounds who will one day join Clark in founding the Justice League of America.
That is, if they can survive.

The Golden Age of superheroes has long passed. The Justice Society is a thing of the past, and after a disastrous event in the 80s, the popularity of costumed heroes has since waned.
But Clark Kent, a fan of those Golden Age heroes since he was young, feels his own destiny pulling him to heroics. Moving to Metropolis, he makes his debut in bright colors, showing off his fantastic powers, and inadvertently kicking off a new age of heroes.

Running away seemed like the sensible option to the Kokuyo Gang at the time. Even if they had to go as far away as Metropolis in the United States of America. Though maybe it was more trouble than it's worth.
Meanwhile, two blond princes are a terror to Gotham in their never-ending hated for each other.
DISCLAIMER: I'm mostly familiar with the DCAU/Timmverse versions of these character! So that's what I'm mostly going off of. I'll add some comic things and characters that I know of, but don't expect it too much. This is also my first time writing DC lol, so prepare for it to be a bit of a mess.
