Summary
This is the story of becoming a hero the hard way.
It's by wishing, hoping, and praying. It's by holding your tongue and hiding words behind you teeth. It's by screaming at the open sky and it echoing off the end of the world.
You make it by bloody knuckles and secrets that are better kept hidden. By the skin of your teeth and the daggers clutched in white knuckles. You make it by pure chance, or will, or whatever you have left. By consuming knowledge like drying water. By the dying star of realization that everything you know, everything you were raised to feel and think and work like the cogs of a well oiled machine, is a lie. A lie you are so desperately holding on to.
It's by being a coward. It's by being terrified. It's by being utterly lonely. It's by being stupid and reckless.
