Summary
Michael shows up at Gavin’s doorstep in the arse crack of dawn, drenched and shivering and wearing nothing but a pair of flannel boxers and a flimsy white shirt.
Gavin stares at him, baffled, for all of three seconds before Michael surges forward, takes his head in his hands, and looks at him with a desperate sort of relief in his eyes. Gavin swallows uncomfortably under the weight of his gaze.

Summary
Gavin Free did not like to think of his situation as an unstable household. He didn't like to tell people that his father beat him, or his mother was an alcoholic. He didn't like to admit that he only had two friends, one of them being his own brother. He did not like to admit that, when his brother ran away from home and his mother drunk herself into a stupor, his father beat him nearly to death. After waking up in the hospital, connected to tubes and beeping machines, with his father weeping on his bedside, he wanted to ignore the entire situation.
Gavin is abused, Geoff is overprotective, and Michael is head-over-heels.

Summary
"Siri 2.0 is a highly advanced AI program that can serve as your personal secretary. It organizes appointments, functions as a GPS, and can hold full conversations with anyone it talks to. You have the ability to assign your Siri a gender and nationality, but its name will be randomly selected from a pool of whatever nationality you have selected. Siri identifies you by your name and the sound of your voice. Over time, Siri will develop its own personality based on what is most compatible with your own."
At first, Gavin isn't sure what to think of the little bad-tempered AI, but soon he comes to realize that Michael is more than just a program.
But AIs don't have emotions. They don't have feelings. They aren't human. Gavin can only pray that he'll be able to change this.
