He lived and died with these facts. Knew them to be true as he felt the killing bullet pierce his lung and smiled at Till knowing that at least for now, he was safe.

Deuce was smiling, though he looked surprised at the flash, and Ace looked annoyed, though his eyes were full of mirth. Yuu’s own shone with joy.
As Yuu kept looking upon the picture the nostalgic smile slowly fell into a confused frown.
Since the photo was taken with the ghost camera, the image moved. Deuce blinking, Ace’s hair rustling, even Grim’s head was bobbing up and down with his eating.
Yuu didn’t move.

He will not drop the press and entomb this child inside the killing game he claims to despise. So, Kaito comes up with a plan to save Kokichi’s life, but to pull it off, the two of them will have to work together inside the Exisal, trick Monokuma into reaching a false verdict, and end the class trial before Kokichi succumbs to the Strike-9 poison.
