Summary
You'd been a solitary nāga your entire life. It wasn't hard, considering you'd kept hidden away for centuries within the depths of the thick jungle.
Until humans captured you.
Being a nāga had its perks. You were magical in nature, so there was little that could slip past you. However, humanity didn't seem to have much magic left in them, only a rare few with old bloodlines occasionally catching your eye. Magic was stagnant in this world, making your scales itch uncomfortably over the years.
Then you met them, the skeleton monsters that were brimming with life and magical energy that seemed to be cut from the same cloth.
And somehow, they've ended up working at the very place that holds you prisoner.

Summary
Life is a funny thing. Sometimes people grow up and go to school and have a career, some become travelers, and some find solace in a domestic lifestyle. Others are born and then turn into a Monster when they were seven. (Hey. Thats you.)
Monsters were released from the mountain 16 years ago and when they were released, boom! A small percentage of the world turned into monsters overnight. You considered yourself a monster more so than a human. Especially after your mother dropped you off at the facility, and didn't look back. And after all this time, all there is to do is look forward.
