“Really? I’m your first choice?”
A silly question. He’ll feel embarrassed for asking it in the morning, when he’s had enough sleep, remembered his worth, what he brings to this team, to his family, this world. Right now though, in the midnight hours, the emotions are too close to the surface and his skin is sloughing off in thin layers, shedding, revealing the fleshy, aching want underneath.
Changbin’s selfishness could swallow the world with how much it dares to seek.

“I don’t think it should sound like that,” Jisung cut for the ninth time in the past hour they had been trying to work on this godforsaken song.
Hyunjin closed his eyes as he clicked his pen one more time in the past minute to stop himself from jabbing it into his best friend’s mouth. He felt the cold, wooden tables on his fingertips, trying to ground himself with a simple gesture.
He was better than this.
He had gotten too good at this that they had grown so far to become one of the closest people in the group. He was not going to fail now. “We have to start from somewhere,” Hyunjin pointed out, not with gritted teeth. Again, he was better than this.
Jisung grinned sheepishly. “That’s obviously out of tune, though.”
or hyunjin and jisung tried to make a song together. but if the two worst crashing outs of the decade had to happen to hwang hyunjin, then he’d be damned.
