Look, Arthur understands. He’s a King now, and that means there are more people after him and that he must be careful. He was being careful! He’d taken knights with him and everything, but that hadn’t stopped a lucky group of bandits from kidnapping him.
Damnit! His husband would NOT be happy with this.
“Merlin’s going to kill me after he gets me out of this.”
Or, Arthur is kidnapped and Merlin’s very understandable reaction to someone daring to take his husband.

Summary
Forced to fight for their lives, the Knights of Camelot find themselves trapped in an ancient colosseum. They don’t remember getting there nor do they know where their favorite manservant is. Given three days to survive brutal battles against fierce warriors and magical beasts, they are tethered to the temple until the final match: Arthur, Leon, Gwaine, Elyan, and Percival versus an unknowable, terrifying creature. The questions pile up as they begin to feel unidentifiable pain. Why were they brought here? Where is Merlin? And what—or who—is this “Emrys” they are drawing power from?

Leon feels at peace when Merlin uses his magic to help heal his burns after the dragon attack. He isn't sure how to express his gratitude, so he just starts looking after him. After a time, Leon realizes that he's not just protective, it's more than that. He just doesn't know quite how to express it.
Merlin helps him figure it out.

He tears his eyes away from Lancelot and it’s then when he notices the changes around him, the trees look more vibrant, there are more flowers than when he last looked, and the bald patch of grass isn’t there anymore.
“I didn’t—” Merlin whispers to Lancelot, slightly terrified “—I didn’t do it on purpose,”
