It’s hard to tell if he’s panting due to exertion from their fight or if it’s still a reaction to Chessmaster’s dirtier moves.     Chessmaster turns to him, heart beating faster as he studies his face. He has the same crooked grin he always wore as Robin, and it makes Chessmaster yearn for something he gave up for lost years ago. “Please be my queen,” he blurts out. To hell with waiting.

    “Wha…?” Red Hood looks very confused, but he doesn’t seem like he’s against the idea.

    Excellent. Chessmaster can work with that.
