“You know, Harry…”
Harry Potter’s head snaps up, annoyed. “What now, Tom? I’m trying to focus on work.”
“Work.” Tom’s eyebrows rose. “You’re always working, aren’t you?”
“You’re the same!” Harry bit out, running a hand through his messy hair, faintly realizing he probably hasn’t showered in three days judging by Tom’s stare. Merlin, he stares so much when he’s working. Doesn’t he have anything better to do? “Go back to your own work, Mr. Minister of Magic!”
Tom just tilted his head, feigning innocence, with that infuriating and lovely smirk on his face, as if he’s challenging him. Harry has the urge to punch him, even if he’s 25 and an Auror. Or 24. Or 26. Whatever. He’s bad at numbers. “Now, now, Dear…” Tom says smoothly, in a velvety tone, and Harry represses the urge to shiver. The absolute menace. “You should probably recognize that I, at least, have the decency to do self-care and not overwork myself.” He leaned in and pressed a kiss on his cheeks.
“Hey!” Harry jumped, pushing him away, flustered. It doesn’t make his urge to punch him any less. “I thought you’re a germaphobe!”
“Not with you.”
Harry groaned.
