“Okay,” he sighs, secretly regretting that he hadn’t finished his work earlier. “If you want, there are some drinks in the mini bar, treat yourself. And…” He looks at the sandwich. “If you are hungry, the fridge is yours.” He turns around so he doesn’t offer a piece of his heart as well.
But he is stopped with a hand on his arm and a worried face. “Mr. Kim are you not going to sit here with me? The weather is so nice, you should catch some sun.”
Seungmin’s skin does look grey, especially in the place where Jisung is holding onto him. That comparison squeezes his lungs in a way he usually avoids thinking about.
“I am busy.”
“But Mr. Kim,” Jisung whines. “You have to look after me. I can’t swim!”
Or: Seungmin keeps worrying about his magnolia trees. Jisung teaches him that hearts don't have an expiration date.

Summary
“Tell me about your exes. Who hurt you?” Seungmin asks.
Chan looks up then, his mouth slightly parted. “What?”
“I can tell you’re guarded. Someone as handsome as you shouldn’t get so flustered whenever you receive a compliment, so someone in your life had to have made you feel like you weren’t.” Seungmin says.
Chan normally would feel attacked. Normally, he would scoff and shrug it off and feign confidence. But there’s no bite to Seungmin’s words. His tone was soft and even like he genuinely wanted to understand.
“Is that why you’ve been taking things super slow?” Chan asks lightly.
Seungmin laughs, “Maybe, now stop avoiding the question.”
Chan sighs, his smile falls. “It’s the past, I’m better now.”
Seungmin nods. Chan looks at him, he looks disappointed. Almost sad. Chan’s heart beats harder in his chest, his lip starts to tremble and he has to look up to stop the tears from falling. “I just, I have a hard time talking about it.”
OR; Chan goes through a journey of healing from his abusive ex boyfriends. He meets Seungmin and learns how to love and be loved.
