"Wake up."
He remembered the moment of impact, the feeling of being sent flying only to be run over yet a second time where he lay. He remembered the pain, and the sound of rending metal and shattering glass as the truck wrapped itself around a telephone pole; he remembered the way he couldn’t hear at all out of his right ear, he remembered gagging on his own blood as he lay on the concrete… but somehow he was still here. He was here, in his apartment, alive and well with Wooyoung holding on to him so hard it hurt.
“You, you were there after I got hit. When I was dying. I remember you holding my—holding my hand,” Yeosang faltered, empty stomach roiling at the memory. “I—I wished for someone to stay with me until the end and you showed up not two seconds later and now I’m alive, what the fuck are you?”

Summary
After escaping an abusive compound, Yeosang has sworn to never trust anyone ever again. He’s alone, and he prefers it that way. He’s already made it through the end of one winter and, with the arrival of spring, he thinks he has a good shot at surviving for a while. His rules keep him alive, especially the most important — no communication with anyone, not even to save their life.
Then he sees a cute, chubby-cheeked man with a gummy smile and big muscles fall beneath a horde of zombies and he can’t help but break his rules. Saving Jongho’s life was a mistake he can’t bring himself to regret, not even when it leads to him breaking all of his rules just to see that smile once more.
On his own he can survive, but with them…with them he learns to live again.
