Summary
A dull green luscious field is where comfortability is often found for people that lived in the suburbs, young children would find insignificant hills and call them mountains before promptly tripping and rolling down the hill and dirtying up their knees and shoulders. Even with the scolding their parents would bestow them, never fully remembered anyways.
This feild particularly was once a home to one family in particular. A young man with slicked back black hair had brought a lady here. Her beautiful hair that rippled with waves, in a loose braid that went just past her shoulders. The two would often come here in the afternoons and stay until the evenings. They would sit in the grass and just talk about the simple things in life, they would tease and banter and rough house. Years passed and one day the man got down on one knee and held out a ring, hands shaking. The woman cried and gushed when she nodded, too emotional for words.
Later they would hold hands in the same field as the woman held a hand to her stomach, and told her husband that they would soon be a true family.
However it took a long time for that to really happen.

Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

Summary
Five years without any contact was a long time. The distance had built new walls on top of old wounds. They were still best friends, maybe, but did they really know each other anymore? In an ideal situation, they'd spend some time alone, maybe go on a few small adventures. Take it slow. Rediscover what drew them to each other in the first place.
But Killua had officially decided that the situation was not ideal. In fact, it was so much the opposite that he was going to have an enormous hickey on the inside of his elbow.
Because instead of taking things slow, they were pretending to make out in a closet.
