In no universe should he have to witness Mydei’s hand linger on Phainon’s shoulder for a moment longer than what two friends consider proper, and then watch as Mydei flexes his hand right afterwards, clearly so affected by it. Like something straight out of March’s romance novels.
Seriously, Phainon’s eyes had softened when he looked at Mydei. Multiple times. In public! And here Caelus thought eyes could only soften in Jing Yuan fanfiction.
Dan Heng gives him a look. “Phainon and Mydei are good friends. They’re bound to bicker every once in a while.”
Caelus sits up, wholly indignant. “Have you seen them,” he demands.

spoilers for hsr 3.3
When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

AYOO, this is amazing. Read it all in one go, like whoo. The writing and plot, the CHARACTERIZATION. Mad respect to the author for managing to write Enji as a character you can actually root for in this. Also don't get me started on Rei, she's so cool, the queen, adore her!! Also smol Getten, I feel so bad :(. He's precious. All the kids are so precious it's not even funny.
