William was silent. He didn't resist or move, didn't even flinch at Sherlock's body so close now, looming like a threat or protection, he wasn't sure which.
Sherlock slammed the board next to William's face, making a loud sound. "I know you. I know how you think. If there's danger, you'll take it all yourself, push us away, come up with some insane plan that makes you look like a tragic hero from a cheap novel. I'm not letting you do that again."
Sherlock's breath hitched. His eyes blazed, cheeks flushed, and his voice nearly broke when he continued:
"You think I've forgotten what that day felt like? The day I thought I lost you. The day your body lay on that stone altar, your blood flowing, and I—I couldn't even think. I just remember the cold that hit me like a storm. And now you're doing it again? On purpose?"

Those blue eyes snapped toward him, sharp enough to make William's heart jolt in a strange rhythm. William parted his lips, ready to apologize for his harshness earlier, ready to look away from that suffocating gaze. But before a single word could escape, Mycroft moved.
He pulled William into his lap in one swift motion, and with a single breath, their lips collided. William froze, his body stiffening in shock. Mycroft cupped his face, his thumb brushing along the cold line of his jaw, then rising to his cheek. William's skin felt warm beneath his fingers, making Mycroft painfully aware of how long he'd held himself back.
"Lord—"
The moment William tried to speak his name, Mycroft slid his tongue inside, pushing deeper, drinking in the sweetness that hit his senses. William jerked in surprise, trying to pull away, but Mycroft's hand was already at his nape, holding him in place.

Sherlock set the pills on the nightstand. But William suddenly stiffened, his pupils wide with fear.
"No! I don't want to kill again! I don't want to, n-no, I don't want to..."
"I haven't said anything."
"No. I don't want to. I don't... I don't... no, no, no..."

"So you're not jealous at all?"
"Jealousy's for people who aren't sure. I don't see any reason to doubt, even if William's close to many others, because what we have still stands on its own and it can't be replaced."
