A headache is building across his scalp, tightening down like a clamp on his brain, but he manages to keep his focus steady on the android. There’s no difference, he looks just like Hank, from his gray hair pulled up into a small ponytail, to the faded blue eyes drilling holes through him. “Where’s Hank?”
“I am Hank, Connor,” the android says, smiling, his voice dropping. “I have all of the same memories as your Hank, the same programs. If I wasn’t Hank, would I know how you look at me when you think I can’t see?”

Summary
Connor liked to think he was good at his job. He got things done. He worked all the extra hours. He was always trying to be pleasant to be around. Though most of the time, he knew he wasn’t.
Sure, he smoked too much and made a lot of bad decisions in his personal life. But he was a good cop!
Detective work was virtually the only thing he was consistently good at. Or so he had thought, but here was Amanda doing the one thing he’d begged her not to.

Summary
This was a bad idea from the beginning. Connor had been well aware of that when he'd made the decision to forge and lie his way into the DPD in the first place, after more than a month of mulling the idea over.
One month of existing as a machine. Two months now of deviancy. A mere three months of life he endangers every time he steps into the station.
Being thrust back into investigating deviants may feel like a cosmic joke, but he thinks it's also an opportunity.
