Rubbing his eye, he looked over his shoulder back to Kyle. The man sat on their small table, playing with his teaspoon. “What for?” Ghost asked, finally grabbing his black mug.
“New sergeant’s comin’ today.”

Roughly a year after Makarov got away and Ghost had to bury Johnny, Ghost needs to let go. And he knows that he is doing good so far. Even though he is missing his Sergeant, he soldiers on. Just like he learned to. Or so he thinks. During a joint mission with the US SEAL team, Ghost finds himself hidden in the depth of the rain forest when he heared Johnny's voice through the comms.

“Why do they call ye Ghost?” 7-1 asked him the moment he exited the building. Ghost saw a single figure moving and crouching down behind a rundown car to take cover. Just in case.
“I’ll kill you silently, 7-1. Just like a ghost would.”
“Aye. Believe tha’. Ye have an eye on me noo?”
“Positive.”
“Ah, feeling instantly saver.” A low chuckle followed and it sparked a shiver that rolled down Ghost’s spine. -

Ghost tries his best to cope with this new reality of his: being alone in a dark world that once had light in it. But since that light died, he struggled to live. His team mates are doing their best, but they, too, suffered from the loss. Soap's death tore them apart and nothing was able to put the pieces back together.
In the second year of Soap's death, Ghost travels back to Scotland to spend some time with Johnny. A part of him still hopes that the man would return to him, to make him whole again.

Nero shook his head, let out a dry laugh and leaned forwards, elbows on knees, forehead pressed into the faintly glowing palm of his Devil Bringer. “Define okay?”

Nero had known that Dante was unhinged since he first met the man in Fortuna. But after a desperate call from Lady regarding the hunter's safety Nero revises his opinion; Dante is breaking down and only a blow away from shattering.
Conflicted, Nero must keep his own emotions in check if he wants to help the demon hunter, but as he begins to battle Dante's demons he realises that the situation is far more complicated than it first appeared. After being joined and sucked into the hexcore anomaly, Viktor and Jayce wake up in a different universe, in their normal, human bodies. Having now to face an entirely new life while still weighed and changed by the errors and violence of the recent past, they have to learn to work together again, even if, for that, they also need to confront the new and old feelings that have brought them together and cast them apart. Viktor loves Jayce; Jayce loves Viktor, but it is not as simple as that. But it could be. It's a new page, after all.

Summary
Nobody knows what happened to Jayce and Viktor after the battle against Noxus. However, those two know that they ended up in the field where Jayce had first encountered the mage that saved his life, as well as his mother’s. With nothing to go off of, they begin to build a life out there in the wilderness to the best of their ability while also trying to find their way back to Piltover and Zaun… and while also trying to solve all of their feelings and problems. It gets messy in more ways than one.
SPOILERS FOR ARCANE SEASON 2
