Clark stared at his mug of coffee. The delicious scent and wafting steam had long since faded, but the Kryptonian was oblivious. There was only one thought on his mind.
“Penny for your thoughts?”
Superman was interrupted from his ponderous stupor by the cheerful voice of Diana, the Wonder Woman. She carried her own fresh cup of coffee and sat down across from Clark. She was dressed in civilian clothes, like Clark, having finished moving her belongings up to the Watchtower. She took a sip and looked at him expectantly.
“Oh, well, um,” Clark cleared his throat. “I was just thinking about Batman.”
