Devout is how someone from the town would describe the Snout family. No matter what walk of life a Snout ended up in—housework, fieldwork or even becoming a guardsman—They wore a mark of Purity on themselves. And this never changed, all the children grew up educated by the church just like the generations before them. They went on to work and their oldest, Angus, even followed in the footsteps of his father in joining the guard. But of course, he would become the outlier, a Snout who wasn't devout to Purity. And to think that all it took was a meeting of a certain divine nature.
