Summary
“When the plane hurtles toward the earth, full throttle, a bullet of steel and flame. Kim Taehyung does not close his eyes. In that fleeting moment, as gravity pulls him toward quietness, Taehyung remembers Eden, a blurred paradise he once stumbled upon between the tall, golden dunes.
And when the metal finally hits the grounds, crashes and burns, Kim Taehyung thinks about his one and only love. Of dark, endless eyes and the kindest smile he’d ever known. Of the softness of black hair slipping through his fingers, and the warmth of an embrace that once made the world bearable. And fire swallows him whole."
At the height of World War II, Nurse Park Jimin works in a remote Italian monastery-turned-hospital. His quiet life is disrupted when a disfigured soldier is brought in, clinging to life after a plane crash.
Tasked with easing the man's final days, Jimin begins to unravel the mystery behind the patient's identity. But the deeper he digs, the more uncertain everything becomes. The man’s past, shrouded in half-truths and silence, begins to bleed into Jimin’s present, pulling him into a haunting journey through memories of peace, forbidden love, and betrayal that echoes across time.

I love it.
I mean it's a whole journey of GROWING TOGETHER.
(I'm not even exaggerating,)Could there be any prettier consequence, testament or depiction of love other than just the one I stated. OH hell no.
Also most importantly,

Summary
If you slap a jester's hat on the monster in the closet it ceases to be scary but to itself, it will still be a monster. If Jeongguk opens his palms he closes them instantly because he doesn't like the ugliness he sees. The neon light leaks through his pores and he ceases to be bright.
Pain changes people. It certaintly changes Jeon Jeongguk.

just read it already, and have your kleenex
cuz i was drowning in my tears in the first chapter already..~_~Also on a more technical standpoint
its brilliant in execution, i mean the author sets the tone and pitch at which they were going to tell the story just ten minutes into the first chapter and successfully maintains it through the course of the text
this was a big yes for me as there were no abrupt shifts in tonality aligned with the gorgeous but heart wrenching unravelling of jeongguk's mind and past in front of ushis motivations and why is he in the constant mental state of his of deep melancholia and detachment but also at the same time of longing and his want to be seen is well explained
the descriptions of certain scenes is vivid and brilliant but also makes sure to be not in your face and gives the reader room for their own imagination to add to itBTW I really hope and pray that the author themselves are doing great
Bye!Good read!! Good Cry!!!
