The moment the words left his mouth, he knew it was a mistake. The silence that followed stretched too long, heavy and cold. He had heard that silence before, seen it before others were punished—but never towards him.
It happened so fast, he could hardly tell what ‘it’ even was. Sharp pain filled his head and he brought a hand to his cheek. Why did Unsha hit him..? He had never done this before. All he did was politely request a break.

When Wei Wuxian finds himself in the past for no actions of his own, he decided that he wants to use this chance. To be far more obedient, to distance himself from associations that hurt him and to live his own life as different from his original one as much as possible. It takes him a while to get to a resolution and even longer to resolve his past. But he does.
The circumstances on how he came back in time are certainly suspicious. First there's a few assholes to get rid of though!
This is essentially the main fic I wrote based off Once more, if only... It primarily revolves around WWX but if I play around with POV changes I'll update the tags. According to the chapters the tags will be updated.
