Summary
Castiel is busy learning how to parent his nephew, without getting dragged in to the business of the loud couple from the apartment above his. But when the smell of his cooking attracts a hungry and pregnant omega who's certainly looking worse for wear, he can't help but intervene in to their lives at least a little.
Getting pulled into an active murder investigation is certainly not what he'd planned when choosing to move in to the nice quiet neighbourhood in search of a fresh start for himself and Jack, but it quickly becomes difficult to leave the beaten down omega with green eyes alone, especially when the omega claims him to be the father of his child.

Dean just wants to be happy, something which seems so simple in theory, but so painfully out of reach in reality. The secrets he carried weighed on him constantly, and it's hard to feel loved when he never even feels seen.
After a beautiful omega saves him from an alpha who believes having an alpha voice makes him king, Dean's inner omega is left swooning. The college is so big though, and he has no idea who the other omega is, so he assumes that is going to just be the end of that and he'll never get another chance to talk to the omega, who for a moment made him feel so safe.
A little bit of friendly meddling, and a thank you dinner turned date later, and Dean is starting to think his inner omega might be onto something with the swooning.
In a land where Omegas who love other omegas are seen as wrong and taboo, some things, and some people, are worth risking everything he knows for.

Mostly it’s just a fun, comforting story where they go to pumpkin patches and have movie nights and bake pies. There are rainy days and game nights and corn mazes and pumpkin spice lattes.
I needed to write something light and fluffy and happy, with low conflict. Hence, you get Flufftober.
Please note- due to the way the different Flufftober prompts inspired me, this will not be posted in any kind of chronological order. The first chapter you read is actually the last part of the story. Any given day might be anywhere along the story line.

He casts a glance to Sammy, who, half asleep, is crashing on the couch, and goes straight to the kitchen. His brother doesn’t need to be jerked awake because Charlie lacks common sense.
The poor bastard already has cancer.
“Wanna repeat that?” and that is a threat.Dean needs money for his brother's chemo. Among the many things he can't do taking out a loan is one of them. (Being an omega sucks). Castiel is trying to adopt an orphan. Among the few things he can't do adopting a kid is one of them. (Being an alpha doesn't suck, but in this particular instance doesn't help either).
