Summary
PBB story is loosely based off the movie Footloose. (1984 version with Kevin Bacon!).
Dan and his mother move to Rawtenstall to live with his mother's sister, husband and children. Dan starts the local high school, and quickly becomes friends with PJ, Sophie, Zoe, Alfie, and Louise. Dan's shocked to discover that there is no dancing or drinking allowed within the town limits - only to find himself having to fight the honourable Reverend Thomas Lester - Phil’s father and the town council to have the law changed so dancing be allowed within the town again. Dan tells Phil if he’s going to have to go up against his father and the town council, that Phil is going to be taught to dance - much to Phil’s horror. Love blooms between Dan and Phil, after Dan comes to the rescue, when Phil tries to break things off with his current boyfriend, Chris Kendall, Chris gets angry and beats Phil up, after Phil attempts to smash Chris’ car up. Eventually, the dance lessons pay off, and Dan, Phil and friends, spend the night dancing their asses off.

Phil snorted over the top of his mug. “Yeah, and I’m sure the Muggles wouldn’t be at all alarmed when the piece of heavy machinery they’re using suddenly goes completely silent. Need I remind you yet again of the Statute of Secrecy?”
Or, the one where the drilling outside their apartment drives Dan to attempt increasingly crazy stunts to block out the noise, while Phil tries to deal with a flat that is literally starting to fall apart around them.

Prince Daniel had long since given up on the idea of ever finding someone he could love. Being a prince came with consequences after all, and there was no one Dan could trust - except for his best friend Prince Phillip from their neighboring kingdom who Dan may or may not have been incredibly in love with. Phil doesn’t want him back though, surely, right? So when Dan is sent to find a proper partner to marry, he doesn’t immediately think of Phil - until he does.
