A blonde with a figure like a doll pressed their flat chest onto Mash’s arm.
“I found a new love.”“I can’t believe he cheated on me with Nate! I will get revenge!” She looks over to a figure by her side.

Summary
His meridians in this life were still damaged. There wasn’t anything he could do about that, at this point. But he was still careful not to aggravate it at all, and cause a Qi deviation. He found he hadn’t had one since he left the sect, which should have been surprising — but it truly wasn’t. How long did he spend, cooped up in a place he truly never loved? Living like a caged bird for loyalty? He suffered for his sins in his last life, and abandoned everything in this one, leaving behind even that cursed name.
He wouldn’t ever go back. Never.
He looked over to where the snake and man were curled up in bed, chest feeling strangely warm.
He didn’t deserve this. This man was far too nice to him, for his own good. They’d seperate soon, though. Surely Tianqing would abandon him soon, if he found out what Shen jiu really was—a monster. A slave with a horrid past, who lived this life more than once already — with no good qualities left but a cold personality.
He’d be alone soon. He was sure of it.

Shen jiu returns decades into the past and escapes the sect, leaving to live in the demon realm. He meets some strange people along the way — and learns how to be human again.

Summary
“Never help others before you help yourself,” Shen Jiu started as he dipped one finger in the salve. “This is the first rule you learn as someone powerless.” There was a spot near the snake’s head where it had been cut somehow. It was fairly shallow, but Shen Jiu spread a generous layer of the salve over the wound as he spoke. “Such loyalty to someone so insignificant is how you get killed or worse. Be more careful in future, there will be no one to save you next time.”
The snake stared up at Shen Jiu with something indescribable in its human-like eyes. As Shen Jiu finished rubbing the slave in, the end of its tail rose up and curled around his wrist. After a moment of shock, Shen Jiu let his thumb rub over its scales.Or: Shen Jiu doesn't succeed in killing Qiu Jianluo and instead gets sent to a brothel, where he spends years suffering visits from Qiu Jianluo and frequent punishments from the cruel Madam, with no hope of escape. That is, until he meets a pitiful demon snake who takes it upon himself to serve Shen Jiu however he can to repay his debt (in the clumsiest ways).

Summary
Shen Jiu had no thought beyond getting out when Tianlang-Jun asked Shen Jiu to leave with him. With Qiu Jianluo’s body growing cold on the floor, his only consideration had been getting as far away from the Qiu estate as possible. Now that he was here in the demon realm, installed in a set of rooms somehow both more luxurious and more barren than any he’d ever been in, he found it didn’t matter that Tianlang-Jun had asked him to come, that he’d said yes. He didn’t want to be trapped anywhere again.

It must be a trick.
