    A cartoonish cloud of smoke appeared around Elliot's legs as... nothing changed. Aside from a few stains on his shirt.

    "Wha— Wait, woah..."

    Chance stepped back unconsciously, "What the— you sound different, Ell."

    "Do.. do I?" Elliot laughed nervously, more confused than anything.

    One day, he was at the pizzeria, the next day, he was here.

    It was so strange... the memories came flooding in. The bright car lights before he got hit... waking up in this place... meeting all these people, and making up with... that hacker.

    Even then, it felt like it happened in the span of a day— even though its been... almost a year of him being here.

    It felt like... it wasn't his memories.
