Tu n’es pas un être humain normal et tu ne le seras jamais.» Alexis se souvient d’avoir pleurer à ce moment-là, il avait peur, peur de se perdre lui-même. «Pourquoi ne pas accepter cette réalité et en faire une force ? Te mettre dans l’erreur ne te servira qu'à te voiler la face, tu n’y gagnera rien.»
Il marqua une pause. Puis, une main se posa sur la tête d' Alexis, toujours avec cette pression réconfortante, en tirant légèrement sur ses boucles. «Il vaut mieux subir une vérité nuisible qu’une erreur utile, Alexis. La vérité saura guérir tout le mal qu’elle a pu causer.»
Ou: Le quotidien de Alexis Ness, jonglant entre guerre de gang, amour, meurtre et surnaturel.
