Summary
As his sons began their karting journeys, or further like Max in F3, he remembered his own childhood. Living in the UK, waking up to bright, dewy mornings, all bleary-eyed as they drove to the tracks. He could still smell the bitter scent of tire and oil, walking the track alongside his father as they pointed out certain areas in the turns and straights to watch out for, discussing tactics and his opponents driving styles. Standing under their caravan as the rain poured down, or sprinting after his friends when it was finally warm out. Calling themselves Ayrton Senna or Alain Prost, mimicking commentators as they imagined themselves standing on the top step and winning championships.
Lando Button-Vettel is a born racer and he is determined to one day become an f1 driver alongside his best friend Oscar. But what happens when he crashes?
A one shot focusing on the Button-Vettel family, following my earlier fic 'Bagel the Beagle'. Not a must to read, just happens earlier in the storyline.

He loved his flatmates. They were funny, active and as a group worked really well together. But sitting on their sofa, as they buzzed about their flat, all he wanted to do was to strangle them all, just so that he could have a moment of silence.

Summary
He was going to get an earful from his parents. Sat on the cheap, cardboard like bed Jon should've felt regretful, with his nose bleeding despite the multiple tissues stuck up his nose, his back aching from the strain of holding his whole body together, and his right arm covered in heavy cast.

Summary
They’d told him, as he was scribbling his signature on all the consent forms, that there was a risk of something like this happening. But he’d looked up and smiled and said, ‘You just have to let me know that, yeah? Like it won’t actually happen.’
And the nurse had smiled back and said, ‘We’ve just got to let you know.’
And now, here he was. Twenty-one years old, lying in a bed in a side room on the stroke ward.Lando has a stroke and Oscar heart-eyes Piastri is there to help pick up the pieces. Because of course he is.

Summary
The unspoken routine they’d settled into eased something in Lando. There was comfort in knowing what to expect, in the way Oscar made room for all of him, even the parts Lando was still learning to live with. In the familiarity and gentleness, especially after the difficulties of the first weekend.
And then, suddenly, it was the summer break. The season paused. The routine of race weekends was suspended. There were no schedules to chase, no back-to-back logistics, no travel, no hotel rooms - just stillness.
Which meant time. And space.
And the question Lando hadn’t built up the courage to ask. What does this look like, when we’re not doing it just to survive?
Or, Lando and Oscar try to navigate the summer break and figure out how to be together in all of their headspaces and with all their insecurities.

Summary
He sensed Oscar before he met him, sitting in one of the big meeting rooms in Woking. His little ached at the base of his skull, instantly alert to the presence of a Caregiver. An unfamiliar Caregiver.
He wanted to leave immediately and not have to meet Oscar. Not have to share the same space as him, while his little clamoured to come out, to be seen, to be cared for. He wondered how rude it would look if he didn’t shake his hand, if he avoided his eye contact, if he never spent any time with him outside of anything absolutely necessary. He didn’t even look up as the door opened, but his breath caught in his throat.
OR
An AU fic where Lando struggles with self esteem and feelings of worthiness and Oscar is there to gentle parent him through it. In hindsight, not that AU.

Summary
The cake had been small, just a slab of chocolate with a single candle stuck in the center. They’d passed it around, laughing, snapping blurry photos that wouldn’t see the light of social media. Esteban had blown the candle out hours ago, his half eaten slice still sat in front of him, forgotten.
That was the last moment of peace.
The drop came without warning.
