Ash never wanted to see Branzy again because every single time without a doubt he comes back a little different. Immortality is an unusual thing. It seemed Ash and Branzy took immortality in their own ways, Ash would live forever even once killed, and Branzy would die but never was he gone since he always came back.
Between the waits of Branzy coming back someone came to replace him for the meanwhile.

OrAsh met a Branzy that was too smart for him and was left clueless, but technically he wasn’t left clueless as Ash is to go on hunt for something. To help with his loneliness Branzy sent someone to help Ash with his hunt.
