Summary
Sora Leonheart is the very epitome of a struggling University student. Upon realizing his school funds are seriously low, he comes to the conclusion that he'll have to spend his summer break working in order to be able to afford the barest necessities- and his friends come through for him. He's unprepared, however, for the opportunity of a lifetime that brings him squarely into the limelight- and a major role in the popular Crime drama, "Silver Lights, Turquoise Nights".
Riku Crescent is a talented actor who’s spent most of his life as the attractive outcast. Liked from afar but feared up close, he's become closed off to the world around him, and to potential friends. It seems the only person he can truly talk to is the Director who gave him the career he now enjoys, Reno Sinclaire. Riku's prepared- resigned even- to continue spending the rest of his life as the "attractive outcast" for his somewhat unusual looks... until he meets someone that doesn't seem to be affected in the slightest.

When Sora had shown Riku his hairless armpits, the teasing quickly turned to captivation and Riku only became more entranced when Sora got hair in other places, always telling Riku way too much about where and how it made him feel and grabbing Riku’s hand to push his fingers against buttery soft, freshly shaven skin. What was it like to feel that way again—to have the biggest concerns in their lives be body hair and shaving instead of global warming or past-due rent or how they had grown apart?
Riku and Sora's long-term friendship crumbled under the weight of unrequited love, and a decade of silence between them has forced their narratives into opposing directions. When finally reunited in rural Japan during the holidays, Riku thought the romantic snowy landscape would provide an idealized backdrop for their paths to fully merge again, but the rolling hills of the countryside are much steeper than either could've anticipated.
