Summary
The Mandalore system is dangerously close to collapse. Stirrings of unrest ripple through the general population while the New Mandalorian government tries desperately to stabilise. Those who oppose their mandate of peace would rather push their world over the brink and into destruction than submit to the new ways. Following a plea for help, the Jedi Council have dispatched two members of their order to protect Mandalore's last hope of survival: Duchess Satine of House Kryze.
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan will spend a year protecting Satine from insurgents, bounty hunters and worse, while a civil war ravages her home in her absence. At the end of it all, Satine and Obi-Wan will have a choice to make.

A lot can change in a year. Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't sure what he expected when he and his master was assigned the mission to Mandalore, but it plain to see that the Duchess did not want them there. But as the days turn to weeks, and weeks turn to months, feelings can change.
