Ardeth felt like he was being sick. Like, physically sick. Ugly vomiting included. He could already feel the bile rising und tried to gulp it down. Sweat was breaking out of every pore on his body, one droplet running down his neck and another one settling in the hollow between his clavicles. Desperately trying to overcome the beginning dizziness, he sucked in a deep, stuttering breath. And a second one, more steady this time. The momentarily panic he felt at the sight of this man, the man he thought, - prayed actually, to every deity he knew and some more for good measure-, he would never see again, subsided slowly.

Rebecca holds back her smile at the thought of Ted’s eyes shining with gratitude, of the feel of his palm against hers against a cold wall, at the sound of his voice in the same space as her. Looking back up at Leslie, she shrugs.
“I always did think country music had something a little romantic about it.”When Rebecca meets country music star Ted Lasso at a gala for underprivileged children, she doesn't hesitate to offer him the help he needs. As they get to know one another and bond over their highly public divorces, Rebecca soon realises there's more to Ted Lasso than the swaggering rock and roll star that the world sees. She'd thought country music was a love she lost when she got married, but perhaps it isn't too late for Rebecca to fall in love with country all over again.

Ted shakes his head, attempting to snap himself back to reality, but when all that remains is Rebecca’s determined face, it begins to dawn on him that she might actually be serious.
