“Actually, I’ve never really considered where you lived.” Sonic admitted, deciding to ignore the ultimate lifeform comment - he had to pick his battles right now, “But in my defense no one in the village really knows anything about you. You know, besides the fact that you go on murderous rampages.”
“I’ve never killed anyone… In your village.” Shadow defended, and Sonic felt sweat dripping down the back of his neck.Or, when one of Eggman's attacks actually succeeds in wounding Sonic, he and Shadow are forced to spend some time together. To both of their chagrin.

Summary
Sonic the Hedgehog.
He goes by many names, takes on many roles. To those closest to him, he’s the best friend you could ask for. To those who challenge him, he’s a force to be reckoned with. To most of the world, he’s a hero, a legend to rival the days of old.
If you were to ask Sonic himself, he would say he’s no one special.
He’s wrong.
He knows he’s wrong. He knows he’s special in ways he doesn’t yet understand. It’s hard to ignore when the chaos emeralds thrum constantly in the back of his head, reminding him of the role he’s meant to fill. The role he rejects every time he borrows their power.
When the time comes, he will accept, because that’s just who he is. For now, he tries to live life like he always has, because there comes a day when he will no longer be able to ignore what lies ahead of him.
Tell him, how does he make the most of the moment when the moment lasts eternity?(AKA: The chaos emeralds claim Sonic as their guardian, essentially turning him into a god. Now, he has to deal with the implications of that— and immortality.)

Summary
It's a fact that Shadow and Sonic are rivals. Red and blue, sun and moon. They were true opposites, and that was just the push and pull of their relationship. But when a chain of events lead to everybody thinking they're dating instead of actively trying to kill each other, the two (one begrudgingly, the other enthusiastically) decide that playing along is in their best interest.
Or; Sonic and Shadow end up roped up into a fake-dating relationship to avoid their friends, but get more than just a headache along the way.
