“Did this bozo help you find anything yet or has he just been flirting the whole time?”
Steve balks, but doesn’t deny it. You hate to admit it, but a small part of you likes the idea of him flirting with you. Has he been flirting? If he has, it isn’t how you imagined Steve Harrington flirting would be like. You always figured he was all heavy cologne and cheesy pick-up lines, not fumbling jokes and awkward movie recommendations.
“He helped me find tonight’s movie,” you say, holding up the tape as proof.
Steve moves forward, ushering you towards the counter with a hand on your back. The contact is warm and sends a pleasant tingle up your spine.
“I was just about to check her out.” He says.
Robin snorts. “I’m sure you were.”

Summary
'I met a real nice fella at the game,' Wayne says. 'He was wearin' lipgloss, so I figured he'd probably be gay. Got his number for ya.'
Eddie shuffles himself in an upright sitting position, staring at Wayne with his jaw dropped. His uncle is looking particularly pleased with himself, and Eddie almost can't bring himself to say what he's about to say.
'Dude,' he starts, 'You can't do that, man.'
The excitement disappears from Wayne's face when he hears the tone of Eddie's voice.
'What do you mean?'
'You can't just go around asking random dudes' numbers on my behalf, man!'Or: Wayne wants to set Eddie up with some lame guy Eddie is extremely and utterly uninterested in, thank you very much.

Steve feels the world tilt on its axis. “Oh.”
“Aren’t you gonna ask me what I said?”
Softly, Steve asks, “What did you say?”
“I said yes.”
(Or, Steve and Eddie navigate their twenties together and apart. Eventually, something has to give.)

Summary
Eddie scoots down on the bed until he’s level with Steve and turns onto his side, shifting closer in the process.
The movement draws Steve, and his head lolls to the side to see what Eddie is up to.
It brings them nearly nose to nose, and Eddie goes a little bit cross-eyed focusing on Steve.
Steve doesn’t flinch away from the closeness. Just breathes and blinks. And then his eyes flicker down to Eddie’s lips and right back up, so quick that Eddie’s hazy brain would have missed it if he hadn’t been paying attention, hadn’t been anticipating it.
Eddie takes it as the invitation it has to be, and slowly, slowly closes the distance. His nose does bump into Steve’s as he enters his space, but he pauses, hesitates with his mouth hovering a hair’s breadth away from Steve’s.
He waits for the rejection, for the brutal shove away, for the disgusted “what the fuck man?”.
But they don’t come.
What does come is Steve’s mouth, pushing forward to press against Eddie’s.
