A resilient yet carefree avian exile crosses paths with the Guardians of the Galaxy, crashing into their chaotic world with glee, song, and a secret or two. Between banter, brawls, and moments neither of them can explain, something unexpected begins to take root between her and Rocket. But space isn’t kind to softness, and trust is harder to come by than firepower.
RocketxBird!OC set in MCU. It's canon compliant mostly, but if this fic is as long as I plan it to be, it'll be mostly original concepts, not just a canon rewrite.
I wanted her physiology to be weird and alien, that will come across in her anatomy but it's not gonna be gross. It will, however, be kinky. I hope you give it a chance even if you're not super into that because a lot of heart and soul goes into making this and it might surprise you. This will primarily be a fic about love, emotion, and growth, not about smut. It will be there, but it will not be as in-your-face as some of my other fics. An alternative Marvel universe that is centered around Rocket's story.
It's planned for an open world game format. It is meant to be the first entry from a series of at least 4 entries.
Rocket - Halfworld Revolution is the first entry of Rocket's story. It is a re-imagination of Rocket's origin, based on his original comics that started in 1976 merged with his MCU's version. It's way more than a short episode of his life, it's a long journey and a crucial part of his formative years. These events give meaning to the phrase: "You wouldn't last one second on Halfworld."
Great emphasis is put on the planet Halfworld itself, which is a robotic dystopia controlled by a villain playing god. The omnipresent iron grip the the machines have on the planet, coupled with our heroes's ignorance of other worlds, the complete isolation of Halfworld, and the sight of unbelievable powerful mega-structures, creates a unique sense of hopelessness.
The story has a dark epic action adventure tone with slice of horror, and delves into themes of soul, existence, selflessness, friendship and facing insurmountable odds. It greatly expands the backstory of Rocket and other Halfworld characters.Bookmarked by EEVIAC
